PROGRAM RESEARCHING MECHANISM FOR MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To execute an accurate program searching by providing a recording head of a signal for program searching, an audio head which is able to record another heading signal as well as a said signal and detect the signal and a read head of the recorded signal for program searching. CONSTITUTION:In case of picture recording a tape is set from a stopping state 2 to a reproducing state 1 and the video signal is recorded by a drum 5. For starting a record the program searching signal is recorded for a few seconds by a program searching head 3. At the same time another program searching signal is recorded by an audio head 7. In case of executing the program searching of the recorded tape at first, fast forwarding and rewinding are executed in the stopping state 2, the program searching is carried out by a read head and after the tape is set in the reproducing state 1 the tape is reversed and normally proceeded to execute a usual reproducing at the time of detecting the head signal by the audio head 2. Therefore the position of starting the recording and reproducing it is almost same position, so that the precise and rapid program searching can be executed.
