CORROSION INHIBITOR FOR ALUMINUM OR ALUMINUM ALLOY TANK

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled corrosion inhibitor which can completely prevent the corrosion of an aluminum alloy tank, by preparing it by forming an aqueous solution from a nitrite and a diethyl dithiocarbamate. CONSTITUTION:The titled corrosion inhibitor relates to a corrosion inhibitor for an aluminum or aluminum alloy tank for the storage of liquefied gas or the like. As the nitrite, sodium, potassium and ammonium nitrites, etc. may be used. Its concentration in the aqueous solution is pref. about 200-10ppm. As the diethyl dithiocarbamate, sodium, potassium and ammonium salts, etc. may be used, and its concentration is made at about 5-30ppm. Hence, the titled corrosion inhibitor excellent in anticorrosive power is obtained at a low cost.
