CORROSION INHIBITOR FOR TANK OF ALUMINUM OF ALUMINUM ALLOY

PURPOSE: To obtain a low cost corrosion inhibitor for aluminum or aluminum alloy tanks which is non-pollutive and excellent in corrosion inhibition properties by mixing at least one compound selected from diaminoethylglycines and condensation products of formaldehyde with dicyandiamide, etc., to form its aqueous solution. ;CONSTITUTION: This corrosion inhibitor for aluminum or aluminum alloy tanks is obtained by mixing at least one compound selected from sodium alkyldiaminoethylgkycinate, alkyl diaminoethylglycine hydrochloride, alkylpolyaminoethylglycine hydrochloride and condensation products of formaldehyde with dicyanidiamide in water to form its aqueous solution. Preferably, the amount to be added of alkylpolyaminoethylglycine hydrochloride is about 12 to 15ppm and those of the other compounds are about 6 to 15ppm, respectively. Since this corrosion inhibitor has only about ≤5ppm COD value, the inhibitor can be discharged directly into the factory effluent without treating it.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
