INSTRUMENT FOR MEASURING SPEED AND TORQUE CHARACTERISTICS OF MOTOR

PURPOSE:To measure the speed and torque of a motor by a no-load without using a flywheel, by measuring the pulse period of a pulse generator rotated by a motor to be measured, and calculating the speed and torque of the motor, based on said period. CONSTITUTION:When the motor 10 is started, the pulse generator 12 outputs a pulse P corresponding to the speed of the motor. A pulse period measuring circuit 13 measures periods t1, t2...tn extending from the start of the motor 10 to its completion, and they are stored in a storing circuit 14. An arithmetic circuit 15 calculates the speed N at every pulse by taking the reciprocal number of said period, and also, calculates pulse period differences DELTAt1-DELTAtn between respective pulses, from the periods t1, t2...tn. Also, based on a reference input circuit 16, a torque absolute value T in every speed at every pulse is calculated. Calculated speed N and torque T are outputted to a recorder 18.
