PURPOSE:To drive a pile into hard ground in a short time at low cost by a method in which a pile having a strong striker on its tip is driven into the ground to form a pile pit, and the pile is penetrated. CONSTITUTION:A vibro-hammer 3 is hung down from a crane 2, and a steel sheet pile 5 welded with a striker 5B made of tool carbon steel, Cr-Mo steel, etc., is attached to the lower end of a pile 5A made of rolled steel for usual structures. Several water-conveyance pipes 6 and nozzles 7 are provided along the sheet pile 5, and the pile 5 is driven while removing broken stones by pressure water from a high-pressure water pump 8. Afterwards, the plate 5 is drawn out, and a steel sheet pile 12 without striker is hung down from the crane 2 and driven by the hammer 3 or penetrated into the pile pit 11 without driving.
