ALLOY CAST IRON MEMBER HAVING EXCELLENT WEAR RESISTANCE AND PITTING RESISTANCE

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve wear resistance and pitting resistance by specifying the contents of C, Si, Mn, Cr, Mo, Sn and Sb and regulating the sleeve face to a chill structure and the matrix to a pearlite structure in a cast iron member. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. of the alloy cast iron member is formed with, by weight, 3.3-3.7%, C, 1.3-2.4% Si, 0.5-0.9% Mn, 0.1-1.2% Cr, 0.1-0.5% Mo, at least either 0.01-0.15% Sn or Sb and the balance Fe. A cam shaft, etc., are produced by using said material, in which the cam part is chilled by a chiller to disperse carbide to the cam sleeve face and the matrix is regulated to the fine pearlite sturcture. Said alloy cast iron member has the excellent wear resistance and pitting resistance and has good workability.
