PURPOSE:To enhance the percentage recovery of ion inferior to the compatibility with an ion exchange resin, by sending a regeneration liquid low in the compatibility with the ion exchange resin into a conc. column and subsequently concentrating a componential ion. CONSTITUTION:A regeneration liquid containing an ion low in the compatibility with an ion exchange resin and not obstructing the analysis of a componential ion is sent in a concn. column 2 having the ion exchange resin by a quantitative pump 8 through a chang-over valve 10. The ion of the eluent bonded to the ion exchange resin in the column 2 is eluted by the regeneration liquid 5 sent into said column 2 and the ion exchange resin is bonded to the ion of the regeneration liquid 5. Since this regeneration liquid ion is low in the compatibility with the ion exchange resin, the ions in the specimen liquid 6 sent in the column 2 held to this state are easily exchanged with the ion of the regeneration liquid and perfectly caught by the ion exchange resin and the ions inferior to the compatibility with the ion exchange resin as compared with the ion species of the eluent 3 can be conc. at high recovery rate.
