FLAME PROPAGATION TUBE SYSTEM FOR GAS TURBINE BURNER

PURPOSE:To absorb the thermal expansion during the operation and manufacturing variances by rigidly fixing one end of a flame propagation tube cover to the flanged surface of the burner outer casing and fixing the other end to the burner outer casing via a packing. CONSTITUTION:A flame propagation cover tube 17 has the function of maintaining the pressure in the burner and helping the cooling of a flame propagation tube 16. The cover tube 17 is fixed between flanges 18A, 18B attached to the burner outer casing 6. An intermediary flange 19 is fixedly to the burner outer casing 6. An intermediary flange 19 is fixedly attached to the flange 18B of the other burner outer casing 6B, and, in its inside, a packing 21 is attached which is fixed by a packing fixing flange 20 with bolts. As the burner outer casing 6b and unit body 17 are connected via the packing 21, any misalignment between the burner outer casings 6A, 6B caused by machining process during manufacture and thermal expansion during the operation can be absorbed by the resiliency of the packing 21.
