FLAME PROPAGATION TUBE FOR BURNER OF GAS TURBINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress suction of oil and occurrence of the crossing flow between chambers by introducing the purge air at an intermediate part of a tube, and providing a taper to be narrowed from the intermediate part of the tube to each end of the tube to accelerate the purge air at each end of the tube. ;SOLUTION: A flame propagation tube provided between adjacent combustion liners of a gas turbine comprises a tubular body 30 having a female part 32 and a male part 34, the female part 32 is provided with a diameter-expanded part 36 on one end, and receives one corresponding end 38 of the male part 34 at an intermediate part of the tubular body 30. The diameter of the female part 32 and the male part 34 of the flame propagation tube is tapered toward the end on each side of a connection area of the intermediate part of the tube to accelerate the purge air passing therethrough. A large number of air purge holes 48 are formed in a part of the male part 34 close to the connection part to the female part 32, and a pressure holding container 50 which is a cylindrical tube outside a discharge casing of a compressor is provided so as to surround the intermediate part of the flame propagation tube having the air purge holes 48.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
