TERMINAL EQUIPMENT FOR APPROVAL OF CREDIT CARD

PURPOSE:To check up a wrong card with no inquiry given to a host computer of a center by checking whether or not the member code read out of an accepted credit card is contained in a negative file. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 100 performs the overall control via a program and this control program is written in a ROM 101. A RAM 102 is used as a data area forming a negative file or a working area when the control program is executed. A card reader/writer 4 reads out the member code out of an inserted credit card. Then a display device 5 shows the invalidity of the card transaction if said member code is included in the negative file.
