TREATMENT OF LOW-TURBIDITY WATER IN RESERVOIR

PURPOSE:To clean low-turbidity water at a low cost by adding the circulating flow which mixes with the high-temp. water mass in an upper layer to the low-temp. low-turbidity water mass contg. suspended fine particles stagnating in a lake bottom, providing a net or the like in the route of said circulating flow and forming turbulent flow. CONSTITUTION:The circulating flow from the bottom layer to the upper layer is generated by a submersible mixer 2 into the low-temp. low-turbidity water mass contg. the suspended fine particles layered on the bottom layer 1 of a reservoir to mix the low-temp. water mass in the bottom layer with the high- temp. water mass in the upper layer by which microorganism films are developed on the surfaces of the fine particles. The suitably meshed net 3 or the like is provided into the route of the circulating flow to generate vortexes 6 such as Karman vortexes positively in the circulating flow, by which the chances for confluence of the fine particles contained therein with each other are increased and the fine particles are joined with each other through the above-mentioned microorganism films to increase the grain size and the settling speed. As a result, the low-temp. low-turbidity water layered in the bottom of a dam lake, etc., is inexpensively and efficiently cleaned.
