DECIDING SYSTEM FOR DECLENSIONAL KANA ENDING

PURPOSE:To detect a desired word by reading a headword including the KANJI (Chinese characters) extracted from a sentence out of a dictionary and detecting a declensional KANA (Japanese syllabary) ending enable type via a matching pattern part when a KANJI-KANA word is detected. CONSTITUTION:If no coincident headword is detected out of a dictionary 6 via a retrieving part 1, a start position detecting part 2 searches the start position of a character string that is estimated to be undetectable owing to the difference of declensional KANA endings. Then the KANJI of a part where the formation of a word is estimated is extracted. Based on this KANJI, a collating part 4 reads a headword out of the dictionary 6. A matching pattern generating part 5-1 produces a matching pattern for detection of a declensional KANA ending coincidence enable type against a headword having HIRAGANA (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) at its ending. A matching deciding part 5-2 secures matching between said matching pattern and a word for decision of the coincidence. If this coincidence is confirmed, the relevant word is decided as a declensional KANA ending coincidence enable type for output of data.
