KANA (JAPANESE SYLLABARY)/KANJI CONVERSION PROCESSING SYSTEM IN JAPANESE DOCUMENT PROCESSING DEVICE

摘要

PURPOSE:To standardize conversion dictionaries by making a document processing device determined to support only KANJI (Chinese characters) of the first level reject conversion possibles from a conversion dictionary if KANJI of the second level are included in the possibles. CONSTITUTION:When a conversion key is depressed, conversion process is made by a word dictionary on input characters stored in an input character buffer 14. When a Japanese document processing device is not one that supports only KANJI of the first level but one that supports the first and second levels, conversion possibles are displayed on a display 22 through a picture controlling section 20 without distinguishing KANJI of the first level and second level. On the other hand, when the Japanese document processing device is one that supports only KANJI of the first level, display of words including KANJI of the second level is suppressed and only words of the first level are displayed. Thus, one kind of conversion dictionary 12 can be used regardless of supporting level of KANJI.
