REMEDY FOR VIBRIOSIS OR BACTERIAL NODOSITAS OF GENUS PASTEURELLA OF FISH

PURPOSE:The titled drug useful for treating vibriosis, etc., of fish, containing 9-fluoro-6,7-dihydro-5-methyl-1-oxo-1H,5H-benzo(ij)quinoline-2-carboxylic acid as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:A remedy containing 9-fluoro-6,7-dihydro-5-methyl-1-oxo-1H,5H- benzo(ij)quinoline-2-carboxylic acid (flumequine for short) an active ingredient. A drug such as oxytetracycline hydrochloride, ampicillin, oxolinic acid, etc., are used as a remedy for nodositas of the genus Pasteurella or vibriodis of fish; however, currently molds resistant to the drugs appear and treating effects are not sufficient. Flumequine shows improved treating effects on the diseases. As administration method, 5-100mg based on 1kg fish of flumequine is added to a feed and administered once daily.
