PURPOSE:To improve the operating efficiency thereof both in summer and winter by a method wherein variable panels are provided along heat collecting panels to improve a heat receiving efficiency when solar heat is utilized as the heat source therefor in winter and to intercept the solar beams when the air is utilized as the heat source in summer. CONSTITUTION:The heat collecting panels 6 are secured by supports 7, 8 and are connected to a distributor 9 through pipes 10, 11, 12 while is connected to a header 13 through the pipes 14, 15, 16. The variable panels 17 are provided along the heat collecting panels 6 and are attached pivotably to the supports 19 through hinges 20 while bent pieces 23 are formed at the upper ends of the variable panels 17 to retain the variable panels 17 at the upper end of the supports 8 when the panels 17 are titled to positions 24 shown by dotted lines in winter. Receiving devices 21 are provided on the upper ends of the heat collecting panels 6 to hold clearances 18 by receiving the upper part of the variable panels 17.
