ULTRASONIC MOTOR WITH HALF MAXIMUM LOAD TORQUE AS RATED TORQUE

PURPOSE:To bring an ultrasonic motor easily to the stable state of revolution by reducing rated torque to rated voltage to half maximum load torque. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic motor is constituted of a torsional connector 1, a drum section 2, piezoelectric bodies 3, 3', terminal boards 4, 4', a rotor 7, a shaft 11, etc. When the ultrasonic motor is operated at rated voltage V0, a maximum output is acquired when load torque is represented by T and the rotatable maximum load torque (maximum load torque) of the rotor 7 by Tm and T=1/2Tm holds. The load torque T is used as rated torque T0. Accordingly, even when the characteristics of products vary, conditions (rated torque) for obtaining the maximum output can easily be acquired precisely, thus readily conducting an operation capable of obtaining the maximum output under the stable state of revolution.
