METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REMOVING SCUM CLOSING SCUM SUCTION PORT

PURPOSE:To force out the scum clogged in a scum suction port and make scum removal easy by feeding a compressed gas through the suction pipe connected to said suction port and producing compressed gas fluid toward the suction port. CONSTITUTION:When scum S cloggs in the scum suction port 2a of a suction head 2 and the scum S can no longer be sucked, a closing release switch is turned on to actuate an automatic on-off valve 11 and a cylinder device 15a. The damper 15 in the end part on the scum separator 3 side of a suction pipe 1 is closed and the compressed air in a receiver tank 14 ejects into the suction pipe, thereby producing the air flow toward the suction port 2a and forcing out the clogged scum at a stroke from the scum suction port. At this time, the damper 15 is held closed and therefore the inflow of the compressed air into the separator 3 and giving of adverse influence upon a condenser 5 or the like do not occur.
