PURPOSE:To attain smooth conversation between an opposite party and a party hard of hearing by using device provided to the party hard of hearing so as to allow talking party to confirm and correct a sent character. CONSTITUTION:A message sent from the opposite party is displayed on a display section 310 as a prescribed character string. Every time a new character is displayed on the display section 310, a voice signal for confirmation representing the displayed character is sent to the opposite party. Thus, the communication party can discriminate whether or not the sent character is correct based on the voice signal for confirmation subject to answer back, and if the sent character is in error, a signal returning one character is inputted according to the conversion table and a new character is inputted for correction and a new character after correction is displayed on the display section 310. Thus, a prescribed message is sent from the push-button terminal telephone equipment of a conventional type connected to a telephone line 100 to a talking device 300 for a person hard of hearing.
