PURPOSE:To aim at the accurate adsorption and collection of evaporated fuel with a simple structure, by dividing adsorbent phase in a canister into two layers, and making the evaporated fuel in an oil feed cylinder leading to a gaseous phase part of a fuel tank and this fuel tank possible to be adsorbed and collected by an adsorbent of each phase. CONSTITUTION:A suction chamber 47 and an atmospheric chamber 49 to be partitioned off by holding plates 46 and 48 consisting of a porous plate each are installed at the end side at both sides of a horizontal cylindrical case 43 consisting a canister 29, while an adsorbent layer 52 is formed between both these holding plates 46 and 48. At a central upper part of this adsorbent layer 52, a cylindrical guide 53 is set up in the first adsorbent layer 52a divided by a shielding plate 58, and a plunger 54 to be energized to the lower part by a spring 56 is inserted into this guide. And, a first suction port 30 and a purge port 38 are installed in a cap 57 closing an upper part of the guide 53 and a second suction port 34 and a purge port 39 in a side wall 44 at the suction chamber side, respectively, and each of them is connected to a gaseous phase part 26 and an oil feed cylinder 31 of a fuel tank 25.
