AUTOMATIC SAMPLER OF FLUIDS IN A PIPE WITH A MOVING VALVE

Automatic liquid sampler with moving orifice is an invention that consists of two parts: (Α) and (Β). Part (Α) is inserted in the liquid conduit through a connection system of 16'' flanges. Part (Β) is the control panel, which consists of an air intake, an air filter and an air lubricator. The entire system operates with compressed air. A basic characteristic of the automatic sampler is the fact that its orifice moves in a reversible motion towards the top, and it also moves with different speed, so as the collected partial samples can be directly proportional to conduit's covered part at any time, in order to have an "isokinetic" sample. The outlet of the sampling circuit is located next to the sampling orifice and at equal height so that partial samples will be directly proportional to the pressure curves existing in the conduit throughout the sampling process. A basic advantage of the automatic sampler with moving orifice is that it ensures the reception of partially representative liquid samples throughout their circulation, such as oil, oil derivatives etc. It allows the detection of several foreign liquids within them, like water and else.
