The signed vehicle is designed to be parked at the start of a road diversion, e.g. before a closed lane or a contraflow section on a motorway. On the rear of the vehicle is a vertical frame (1) which has an outer border decorated with diagonal red and white stripes.Set into the middle, against a background of black horizontal laminations (3), is a large arrow head (4) in a circle. The sign is illuminated by edge lighting (2) and also carries flashing warning lights (5) on hinged side panels (6). The arrow head circle can be rotated through 90 deg. to divert traffic to the left or right.
