Tunnel or pipeline mfr. through watery region - has prefabricated section sealed to form casing when supported on floats or pontoons secured to sea bed

The method is for constructing a tunnel or pipeline through a watery region using prefabricated sections (12-14) of a casing. After mfg. of the sections, they are brought into place under water being then connected and seated to each other. The casing is connected to anchors on the sea bed (2) by tie (8) members. Highly buoyant pontoons (3-7) or floating bodies (20) are placed at such a depth as to form a support or support surfaces. The pontoon or pontoons have the sections laid and securely fastened onto them. After positioning, the sections or the hole casing is connected to the anchors on the sea bed.
