Identity card used in conjunction with X-ray scanning of patients, has recessed sections filled with opaque material, e.g. a mixture of lead powder and glue. When scanning takes place the card is placed on the near patients body so as to be subjected to X-rays. When the patient is scanned in an upright position, the card is attached to patient by an adhesive strip, so as to be within the scanning area ofr X-ray diagnosis.
