CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR AN ADAPTIVE HYBRID CONTROLIN A LOCAL AREA NETWORKAbstract of the DisclosureIn a local area network having a pluralityof stations coupled to a transmission line over whichsignals are being simultaneously transmitted andreceived and wherein each station includes a stationcontroller, a transmitter, a receiver and an adaptivehybrid circuit coupled to the transmission line andbetween the transmitter and the receiver for adaptive-ly canceling crosstalk from the transmitter to thereceiver, a control circuit in each station for con-trolling the operation of the adaptive hybrid circuitin the station. In a first embodiment of the inven-tion the control circuit includes a first circuitresponsive to a request-to-send signal from the sta-tion controller for generating a first signal toenable a signal to be transmitted by the transmitter,and a second circuit responsive to the first signalfor enabling the adaptive hybrid circuit to adaptivelycancel crosstalk from the transmitter to the receiverafter a preselected period of time after the start ofeach transmission.
