24571 CNMo-Ti MEMBERS WITHNON-METALLIC SINTERING AIDSAbstractBoron, oxygen, or a mixture thereof, is used as asintering aid in sintering Mo-Ti alloys. Compounds formedbetween these sintering aids and the Mo or Ti have thermalexpansion coefficients consistent with that of alloys ofMo and Ti. An hermetic member may be made using theseconstituents. The hermetic member may be used to seal anassembly such as a high pressure sodium lamp.
