摘要

semi crystalline structure to form high molecular weight polyethylene and its method of manufacture. the original stock or a stock powder partially merged and crystallized by fusion with a granular memory, is heated to a temperature at which the stock together to form a homogeneous melting completely loses the memory of the granular structure of the original stoco.the resultant casting is cooled to ambient temperatures under compression to provide a homogeneous, isotropic semi crystalline form.an anisotropic form high molecular weight polyethylene can be prepared by a solid-state deformation of semi crystalline form at a temperature close to its melting point but below the crystal, at a strain rate of about 5 to 8. the product is useful for the manufacture of the tendons.
