The invention relates to novel copolymers obtained from the mono, bis or tris methylol-phenyl allyl ether (I) of formula: with n between 1 and 3, and ethylenic monomers, at least one of these monomers being a (meth) acrylic acid.; The invention also relates to a preparation of these copolymers method.; The copolymers of the invention find application in the preparation of coatings in the field including paints, varnishes, inks and adhesives.
