The apparatus contains a shell-like container (2) with, in the interior thereof, a number of rings consisting of elements (7) for transverse stressing/stirring, which are set at a uniform distance from each other, and a rotor (3) which is likewise provided with a number of rings which consist of elements (6) for transverse stressing/stirring, so that a ring of elements of the shell-like container follows a ring of elements of the rotor, etc. Outside the shell-like container (2) is an intermediate space (5) formed by an exterior jacket (4) for thermostatic heating/cooling control. On the outlet side of the apparatus is a viscosimeter (10) for measuring the actual viscosity. In this manner, it is possible to impart a predetermined, standardized viscosity value to the treated product, within certain limits, as a function of the subsequent treatment. IMAGE
