The material contains bitumen or a bitumen-plastic mixture as well as porous fillers; in order to achieve a weight reduction, it is proposed to use as filler clay substances containing a structure of hollow bodies and provided with a coating. The coating on the one hand prevents bitumen penetrating into the structure of hollow bodies. On the other hand, the coating may contain magnetizable material, so that a magnetostatic application is possible. Antidrum coverings with a relatively low relative density and nevertheless a relatively high loss factor can be produced using this filler.
