Overvoltage protection system for TV aerial system - has AC receiver, transformer switches and overvoltage triggers

The device comprises first and second points of connection designed to receive an alternating current system potential and a transformer having primary and secondary windings. A first terminal of the transformer primary winding is connected to the first connection point of the alternating current recever. A bidirectional controlled switch connects a second terminal of the transformer primary winding to the second connection point of the alternating current receiver. A unidirectional conducting means connect a first capacitor to one of the connection points of the a.c. receiver. Overvoltage sensitive switching means is parallel connected to the capacitor and is connected to voltage sensitive step trigers and one of the connection points.
