The plant has a fish tank and an outfall. The fish tank is designed as an oxidation drain in the waste water sense, which is set up for a residence time of the water of less than ten hours, preferably about two hours. Between the oxidation drain and outfall, there is an activated sludge purification tank. In this, on the one hand a nitrification takes place and on the other hand a denitrification takes place, while excess sludge can be removed. The discharge from the oxidation drain passes without preclarification directly into the activated sludge purification tank.
