SCREW CONVEYOR FOR DISCHARGING SOLID RESIDUES IN HIGH TEMPERATURE AND OVER-PRESSURE CONDITIONS

The screw conveyor (8) which is proposed is intended to discharge solid residues in plants transforming solid materials containing carbon and operated in high temperature and over-pressure conditions. The conveyor (8) is also intended to cool the residues and crush the larger elements. The screw (8) and the frame (2, 5) are comprised of a plurality of parts so that the part (2, 9) which is subjected to a more pronounced wear due to the crushing operation may be separately replaced. The screw sections (9, 10) are adapted to their proper crushing, respectively cooling function.
