Antenna arrangement for diversity reception in the windowpane of a motor vehicle

The invention relates to an antenna arrangement for diversity reception, preferably for the frequency band of metric and decimetric waves, in the windowpane of a motor vehicle. The windowpane is surrounded by a metallic frame which has two approximately straight sides which are joined together in a corner of the frame with an enclosed angle in the range between 30 degrees and 150 degrees. Two antenna conductors are fitted there, each of which is guided essentially parallel to one of the two sides, in each case at a suitable distance over a length of at least 1/10 of the lowest operating wavelength. At their mutually facing ends, the two antenna conductors together with the adjacent connection to the metallic frame in each case form the antenna connecting point of a receiving monopole whose length is in each case suitably selected. The two antenna connecting points are connected to the two inputs of an input coupling circuit which has two or three outputs. Two outputs supply voltages which are in each case proportional to the reception voltages at the associated connecting points of the two monopoles. A voltage which is proportional to the difference between the reception voltages at the antenna connecting points can be formed with the aid of a third output. IMAGE
