The antenna diversity system (2) has an antenna module (4) and a receiver (3) connected via an intermediate frequency connecting line (7) and a high frequency connecting line (6). The antenna module transfers status information by lowering the intermediate frequency d.c. current below a threshold characteristic of a line open circuit and the receiver detects the value falling below the threshold by measuring the d.c. current of the intermediate frequency line and checking for reception of status information to distinguish from a line open circuit. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle with an inventive circuit arrangement.
