The invention relates to a milling/grinding roll which forms part of a construction-machine add-on milling unit. This milling roll is fixedly screwed on the bearing shaft, while the grinding wheel is mounted such that it can run freely and is driven separately from the milling roll. In order to make it possible to produce the precise, continuously straight edge (5) in one operation during cold surface milling, the invention proposes to permit the grinding wheel (2) to operate directly beside the milling roll (1) as a combined unit - designated as milling/grinding roll (1, 2).
