Ozonisation and/or ionisation are known means for killing off bacilli, viruses, fungi, germs and the like. Ionisation causes additional agglomeration of aerosol particles and/or dust particles. The disadvantage of this conventional system technique resides in the facts that broken ozone channels may have disadvantageous effects on humans or animals and that arrangement in small equipment is problematical. In order to eliminate these disadvantages the invention proposes a portable clean air apparatus provided with a suction nozzle (1) followed by a coarse separating filter (2). This is followed by an ozonisation section (3) leading to a fan (4) whose blow-out side opens via an ionisation section (6) into a space (5). The space (5) is delimited by a chemisorption filter (7) with a diverse layer structure (7a, 7b, 7c). The contaminants killed off by ozonisation and/or ionisation are trapped and bound in sterile fashion in the chemisorption filter (7). IMAGE
