Floor-mounted door closer for door wings held pivotably on the door frame by means of hinges

The door closers used in doors held on hinges are connected to the door wing by means of a pivoting arm connected to their closure shaft, via a sliding block which engages into a guide rail fixed to the door wing. However, in this design, the opening range of the door wing is limited, especially since the longitudinal centre of the closure shaft is not in line with the longitudinal centres of the hinges. There is now to be provided a new arrangement of the floor-mounted door closer, which, on the one hand, allows the door wing to be opened over the full opening range of approximately 180@ and which, on the other hand, keeps the door closer free of constraining forces in the event of assembly inaccuracies. The pivoting lever making the connection between the door closer on the one hand and the door wing on the other hand is fixed, by means of its connecting lug for the closure shaft, to the door wing approximately in alignment with the pivot pins of the hinges, the floor-mounted door closer being supported in the cement box centrically relative to the connecting lug so as to be pivotally movable and flexible. This arrangement makes it possible to open the door wing over approximately 180@ and allows a slight centre offset between the longitudinal centres of the hinges and the longitudinal centre of the closure shaft of the door closer.
