The invention relates to a cutting-tip milling tool with a clamping wedge, the shape of which is configured such that reliable and simple discharge of the chips, even in the event of a large volume of material removal, is ensured. In order to increase the safety, said cutting-tip milling tool is designed such that, by virtue of the centrifugal forces of the clamping wedge which result on rotation of the milling tool, the contact-pressure force of the clamping wedge onto the cutting tip is increased.
