Contrary to the conventional monolithic shape: float, mast, counterweight (ballast, keel then side floats) disjunction between the floating element which becomes independent and the linear mast/counterweight assembly. The latter, articulated to a transverse shaft fixed to the float held at the bow and at the stern is free in its lateral oscillation at the support articulation point. A locking system by virtue of a weighted sleeve sliding on the mast makes it possible to secure the mast and the float by means of a hoop fixed to the hull. A possibility of disengaging the locking depending on the degree of list accepted or the risk of capsizing. The mast is released whereas the float returns to its position. It is thus possible to provide desired habitability conditions or, just about, to guarantee safety. This possibility is obtained by a balance arm counterweight with fly-weights fixed to a variable-height post. IMAGE
