A car shelter 10 is provided by a roof surface 32 pivotally connected to two metal uprights 14, 16 via respective support brackets 20, 22. In order to maintain the roof in its raised car sheltering position (Fig. 2), respective pivoted cantilever arms 36, 38 are provided between roof members 28, 30 and angled supports 40, 42. The appearance of the car shelter may be enhanced by the addition of panelling 18 to the metal uprights 14, 16. The panelling 18 may also increase the rigidity although a beam 24 between the support brackets 20, 22 is provided for that purpose. IMAGE
