PURPOSE:To automatically and easily produce the documents which are easy to read by using a Japanese word syntax structure analyzing part, a boundary deciding part and a control part to carry out the resetting line feed control. CONSTITUTION:The KANA (Japanese syllabary) character strings, etc., received by a Japanese word syntax structure analyzing part 6 from a keyboard 4 directly or via a CPU 1 are converted into the KANJI (Chinese characters)-KANA character strings including the part-of-speech information and the paragraph information via the internal processes (61-64) of the part 6. Then a display boundary deciding process part 71 of a display output part 7 decides whether the KANJI-KANA character strings include or not the words (or paragraphs) covering the end of a line through the head of the next line when said character strings are displayed on a display device 2. If so, a display resetting line feed control part 72 performs such as process to define the boundary immediately preceding the relevant word as a resetting line feed part. If not, the end of a line is defined as a line feed part. A display output control part 74 sends the KANJI-KANA character strings undergone such processes to the device 2 based on the control information. The exactly same operation as the part 7 is applied to a print output part 8 at print. Then the working result of the part 8 is sent to a printer 3.
