KIT FOR QUANTITATIVE DETERMINATION OF VALPROIC ACID AND ITS METHOD FOR QUANTITATIVE DETERMINATION

PURPOSE:To quantitatively determine valproic acid in the material to be inspected quickly and accurately, by kitting an antibody generated from a specific compound of valpro derivative and combined body of protein with said compound and performing B/F separation by reacting with the material to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:A kit for quantitative determination is constituted by the compound of 2-(5-aminopentyl)-valerianic acid or its hydrochloric acid salt shown in the formula (wherein n is 3-8) and antibody (regent A) generated by prescribing a combined body of protein to the animal and also, a marked antigen (B) of this compound. The antibody A, the antigen B and the material to be inspected containing valproic acid are mixed and a antigen antibody reaction is carried out. Next, B/F separation of the antigen combined with the antibody and not combined antigen, is performed and the concentration of valproic acid is quantitatively determined by measuring either of activity. The measured result using this method is rightly correlated with the result measured by the method of chromatography.
