HEAVY CORROSION-RESISTIVE STEEL PIPE HAVING STOPPING PROPERTY OF FRACTURE PROPAGATION

PURPOSE:To obtain the coated steel pipe having both the stopping property of fracture propagation and the property of heavy corrosion resistance by applying the outer coating in which the layer of polyolefin thermoplastic resin and the layer of high strength fiber are alternately laminated onto the surface of a rust proof steel pipe to which a primer and an adhesive have been stuck. CONSTITUTION:In a steel pipe 1, a primer 12 and an adhesive 13 are stuck onto the surface 11 of the rust proof pipe, and thereon the outer coating 16 in which the layer 14 of polyolefin thermoplastic resin and the layer 15 of high strength fiber are alternately laminated, is applied. As the adhesive, the material in resin group is used, and as the high strength fiber, aramide or graphite fiber is used. Since this steel pipe has both the property of heavy corrosion resistance and the stopping property of fracture propagation, the laying down of a pipe line in a site is easily carried out.
