MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY AGAINST HUMAN IMMUNODEFICIENCY VIRUS AND PRODUCTION OF SAID MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY

NEW MATERIAL:A monoclonal antibody having high specificity exclusively to P-24 of human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) or high specificity exclusively to P-18 of HIV or high specificity exclusively to P-18 and P-55 of HIV, and produced by a cell strain obtained by immunizing a mouse with HIV and fusing the lymphocyte separated from the immunized mouse with a mouse myeloma cell. USE:A diagnostic agent for acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS) and reagent for research. PREPARATION:The objective monoclonal antibody can be produced, e.g., by immunizing a mouse with an inactivated HIV, collecting the spleen cell after the final immunization, fusing the cell with a mouse myeloma cell, selecting a clone producing an antibody having a specificity to HIV, cloning and monoclonizing by limiting dilution analysis and culturing the obtained strain.
