PURPOSE: To prevent the degradation of separating performance by deficiency of unhulled rice by returning the unhulled rice after sepn. up to a hulling section only when the return thereof to the supply tank of a swinging Wn type separator is not impossible according to the storage quantity of the tank. CONSTITUTION: The unhulled rice supplied to a hulling device 15 is hulled by hulling rolls 16, is winnowed by a winnower 18 and is taken out by a first conveyor 17. The mixed rice is supplied from a supply path 14 to the supply tank 1 and is further supplied to the swinging type separator 4. At this time, a selector valve 11 is selected to a take-out path 12 side to return the mixed rice to the hulling device 15 only when the storage quantity of the supply tank 1 reaches an upper level stage sensor 3 and the sensor is on. On the other hand, when the storage quantity of the supply tank 1 does not reach the upper level sensor 3 and the sensor is off, the selector valve 11 is selected to the circulation path 13 side regardless of whether the sepn. is good or not and the unhulled rice is returned to the supply tank 1. The supply tank 1 is thus filled with the mixed rice of the much unhulled rice and good sepn. is executed.
