MEASURING METHOD OF DEGREE OF DETERIORATION OF LUBRICATING OIL AND LUBRICATING OIL AGENT, SIMPLE MEASURING TOOL AND AUTOMATIC MEASURING DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To measure the degree of deterioration of a lubricating oil agent simply and quickly, by a method wherein a sample to be measured is stuck on a flat surface for judgement which has a substantially definite surface roughness, and thereafter the degree of deterioration of a lubricating oil and the lubricating oil agent is judged on the basis of the blackness of the surface for judgement which is colored by the sample. CONSTITUTION:A surface 2 for judgement whereon a sample 3 is dropped is scraped by the edge part of a leveling plate 5 having a knife edge part 4 or of another sample coating plate 1, and thereby the sample 3 is so leveled as to have a substantially uniform thickness, while the excess of the sample 3 is removed. Thereby the surface 2 for judgement is colored with black in a degree corresponding to the state of deterioration of the sample 3. Subsequently, a plurality of color samples 7 displayed on a color sample board 6 for a criterion for judging the degree of deterioration and the blackness (degree of gradation) on the surface 2 for judgement of the plate 1 are compared visually, and judgement is made according to instructing descriptions 8 attached to the color samples 7 respectively.
