PURPOSE:To have high strength a solidified thin strip by contg. the solid particle plated by Fe, Ni and Co by its dispersion in the molten metal of Fe base alloy, Ni base alloy or Co base alloy and feeding it on a cooling roll surface. CONSTITUTION:The carbide, oxide and nitride of WC, SiC, etc., are used as a solid particle by considering its wettability with a base alloy. The plating of one or =two kinds of Fe, Ni, Co onto the solid particle is performed by an ordinary electroless plating. Fe base alloy, Ni base alloy and Co base alloy are good for the base alloy of a thin strip and contg. Si, B, etc., in the specified amt. as the alloy component. Said alloy is melted in the ceramic made crucible 1 equipped with a high frequency induction heating coil 2 and having a nozzle 3, the hard particle is contained by the dispersion, fed to the surface of the cooling roll 4 from the nozzle 3 by inert gas pressure and the thin strip is peeled off from the surface by a knife 6 with its rapid cooled solidifying. The high strengthening of the rapid cooled solidified thin strip widely used in various field of industry including the slicing cutter blade of a semiconductor wafer can thus be realized.
