METHOD FOR INSPECTING RENAL GLYCOSURIA

PURPOSE:To elucidate the classification of diabetes by determining the 1,5- anhydroglucitol (AG) in a specimen and deciding renal glycosuria from the determined value thereof. CONSTITUTION:The AG in the specimen is determined and the decision of the renal glycosuria is enabled from the determined value and more exactly by further making combination use of the determined value of a marker for inspection of diabetes such as glycohemoglobin (HbA1) and fructosamine except AG. Although the reference value for the decision varies with age and sex, the case in which the AG value is 15-18mug/ml, the HbA1 value about 7-9 and the values of both thereof in the specimen are lower than the reference value is decided as the renal glycosuria in the case of making combination use of the HbA1 with, for example, school children.
