ELECTROPLATING ELECTRIFICATION DEVICE FOR BOTH SINGLE-SIDE PLATING AND DOUBLE-SIDE PLATING

PURPOSE:To enable both double-side plating and single-side plating with energy saving by providing the electric power units to the electrodes utilized for double-side plating respectively and dividing the winding of one hand of the electric power unit and changing over the divided windings to series coupling and parallel coupling. CONSTITUTION:The thyristor type rectifiers 3A, 3B are connected with both a couple of input windings 4A, 4B connected to the AC power sources 12A, 12B and the three- winding transformers 2A, 2B for the rectifiers having two couples of output windings 5A, 5B. The output sides of the rectifiers 3A, 3B are connected with the electroplating electrodes 6A, 6B. Furthermore a conductor roll 7 is connected with the neutral points of the transformers 2A, 2B to perform plating of a steel sheet 20. In an electric power unit 1A of an electroplating device utilized for both single-side plating and double-side plating having the electric power units 1A, 1B for the upper surface and the rear surface consisting of the above-mentioned constitution, respective windings are divided into two and changed over to series coupling and parallel coupling. Furthermore voltage of the series coupling can be impressed at the nearly same voltage as the other electric power unit 1B with a controlling part 11. Thereby the power factor at a time of double-side plating is improved.
