INTERFERENCE MECHANISM TO EXECUTE COMPETITION SOLUTION BY RULE TYPE KNOWLEDGE

PURPOSE:To unitedly tidy up a knowledge and to improve a maintenability by generating the combination of a rule to satisfy conditions and a fact knowledge as the competition set in the same format as a fact type knowledge. CONSTITUTION:The title mechanism is composed of a knowledge managing mechanism 2 to manage a rule type knowledge 7 and a fact type knowledge 8 and of a reasoning mechanism 1 to cause a further inference to be possible through the use of the rule type knowledge 7 for a competition solution as the method for solving the competition by managing a competition set 9 outputted by a conditions checking mechanism 4 as the same knowledge format as the fact type knowledge at the time of executing the inference by repeatedly operating the conditions checking mechanism 4, a competition solving mechanism 5, and an executing part processing mechanism 6 based on the rule type knowledge 7 and fact type knowledge 8 through the use of the mechanism 2. Consequently, the competition solution at the time of the reasoning can be executed through the use of the rule, both an ordinary knowledge and a control knowledge for it, namely, a metaknowledge can be described in the same format, and even the inference can be executed by the same reasoning mechanism. Thus, the knowledge can be easily tidied up, and the maintenability of the knowledge can be improved.
